Amerimor is a college-level wizarding military academy specializing in the arts once practiced by the Eldritch.
The academy occupies part of the Umbrithel Isles, a substantial island group in the North Pacific inspired by the Oregon coast.
The Old Fortress
Amerimor did not begin as a school.
An ancient fortress once stood on the site and served as a training ground for Eldritch sorcerer-warriors. During a major war, much of the fortress above ground was destroyed or badly damaged.
The surviving ruins remained beneath what came later.
The Tower
A large four-cornered monolithic tower was eventually constructed over the old fortress. The tower tapers slightly as it rises and became the architectural center around which the later academy developed.
The modern campus expanded outward from this structure across the broader western and northwestern landmass of the island group.
The Isles
The Umbrithel Isles include redwood forests, an old cliffside settlement, a lighthouse, grottoes and ruins, and a separate mountain formation split into three sections by narrow channels of seawater.
The academy grounds and the split mountain are separate major features of the landscape.
